Training Services
K9 Day Camp
Each dog will receive a specialized, custom training plan based on your dog’s needs and your training goals. Our programs offer obedience training, foundational work, manners, and behavior modification for aggression, confidence building, anxiety, etc. (varying on your dog’s needs). In order to enroll in this program, dogs must attend camp a minimum of 2 days a week to provide consistency and ensure progress.
Drop Off- Between 6:30am-9am
Pick Up- Between 3:30pm-6pm
Disclaimer – After attending our camp program, please understand that training is not over for your dog. You will receive a summary of the training facilities tactics employed and be eligible to attend private lessons with our head trainer to transfer the training and provide you with homework to continue.
Camp FAQ
Q: How many sessions does my dog need?
A: Unfortunately, we can NOT guarantee a specific number of lessons it takes to train your dog. It will vary on the dog itself, the dog's temperament, and your training goals. Some dogs need more time than others. You are able to keep in touch with our trainers via email to discuss your dog's training progress at any time.
Q: What are the next steps after camp is over?
A: After your dog completes their camp sessions, it will be your turn to get involved in the training. You will be advised to schedule a private lesson with our trainers to go over all training material that we have covered with your dog.
Q: What happens after I complete my private lesson?
A: You will have open options to continue enrolling your dog in camp to either progress their training further and/or you can switch gears and enroll them in our daycare.
Q: Will I receive report cards at the end of each day?
A: We do not provide physical report cards to send home to you upon picking up your dog at the end of each camp day. Most of the time, reports are repetitive. If available, our trainers may be able to provide a brief verbal update with how they did. Specific details are not discussed during pick up as they are needed to tend to the dogs in our care. Private Lessons
One on one lessons will be held at the facility with a scheduled appointment. You will be involved in the session, learning and participating in proper handling techniques to better guide and communicate with your dog. You will be provided homework to further your dog's development. A minimum number of 5 consecutive lessons must be booked to provide consistency in your dog’s training. Each lesson can go up to an hour and thirty minutes to allow content clarification and any questions.

Q: How many lessons will I need to go through?
A: The number of lessons you schedule is completely up to you based on your schedule and training progress.
Q: Am I required to purchase a package?
A: You have the option to purchase each lesson as you go OR you can purchase a package. By purchasing a package, there are discounts that are applied to help you save money.
In-Home Training Sessions
By appointment, a professional trainer will visit your household and address any specific goals or behavioral issues that you are working on. During the consultation, the trainer will assess your dog's behavior and provide an evaluation summary. You as a handler will be educated and critiqued on your handling skills to better train and communicate between you and your dog.

Board & Train Program
An intensive training program designed to fit your dog’s training needs. Your dog will be boarded at the head trainer's household, where they will tend to your training goals & your dog’s needs over a specific period (3-5 weeks). Programs are customized based on need and offer a spectrum of services including puppy training, leash training, basic manners, crate training, potty training, socialization, obedience training, off leash training, and behavior modification. Behavior modification includes anxiety, dog aggression, fear aggression, people aggression, leash reactivity, etc. Your dog will undergo field trips to pet friendly stores, high activity events, receive environmental exposure working on socializing with new people and dogs.
***Time duration varies based on the dog’s behavior and level of understanding. Please understand that every dog is different, and the training programs duration may be adjusted to the discretion of the trainer.

FAQ's
- "Where will my dog be staying?" - They will be boarded at the head trainer's household
- "Can I visit my dog?" - To ensure the success of our program, visitations will NOT be allowed
- "How long is the program?" - Our programs fluctuate from 3-5 weeks (varying on your dog's needs)
- "When can I get my dog started?" - Space is limited and we encourage you to reach out immediately to get scheduled in
- "What do I provide?" - You will provide dog food, training treats, medication (if applicable), bed, and blankets
- "Will my dog be considered fully trained after this program?" - Dogs will have a very high success as long as their training is maintained at home.
- "Will my dog forget me being away from home for so long?" - Amazingly, no. Dogs do not forget their family!
- "Will I receive updates?" - All video/picture updates will be uploaded through our social media (Facebook and Instagram) for everyone to access at anytime. We will also email you through (updates@canineodyssey.com) to provide more thorough updates.
American Kennel Club
Canine Good Citizen Test
The Canine Good Citizen Program is a two-part program that stresses responsible pet ownership and basic good manners for dogs. All dogs that pass the 10-step CGC test may receive a certificate from the American Kennel Club. This program outlines the foundation to your training, and gives you a better insight on how a trained well-mannered dog should be like on a daily basis.
Training will enhance the bond between you and your dog. Dogs who have a solid obedience education are a joy to live with; they respond well to household routines, have good manners in the presence of people and other dogs, and they fully enjoy the company of the owner who took the time to provide training, intellectual stimulation, and a high quality of life. We sincerely hope that CGC will be only a beginning for you and your dog and that after passing the CGC test, you’ll still continue training.
You will undergo a series of private training sessions to learn and practice the foundation training to prepare you and your dog for the CGC test.
